The Road to The Crown, makes it way to Davenport, Florida this weekend and the deck is fully loaded. Coming off of a great kickoff tournament in San Antonio, Texas two weeks ago, there are 103 total teams in a loaded field, which includes 8U-18U. Here are a couple of things to look for this weekend, as DRSportz Road To The Crown makes a stop in Davenport.
This will be the first weekend for the 8U Division to compete for their chance to earn an automatic bid to The Crown. Davenport will host 9 8U teams, who will have the chance to play in a DR7 tournament and be the first teams to make their debut on the circuit. These young ballers will no doubt put on a show. The fireworks will be popping off early, as the 8U Division will be hitting the fields for Pool Play at 9am.
The first tournament in San Antonio was the debut of The Platform. The Platform’s mission is to “Expose The Unexposed”. When athletes play in a DR7 tournament, The Platform is here to give exposure to athletes in every age group. This aids players in not only promoting their games, but also helps promote the organizations who work extremely hard behind the scenes to support the athletes.
