There’s no doubt that nobody has done it like DR7 when putting together a structured tournament and now combining the scouting service of The Platform has the organization unmatched. The DR7 national circuit allows scouts and coaches to get eyes on various kids early on from different areas. The mission and goal of The Platform is to #ExposeTheUnexposed and provide adequate coverage of athletes participating in DR7 tournaments and around the country. Let’s breakdown a few standouts from this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia.
Elam Rahman | QB | 2027 | North Gwinnett | @RahmanElam
Rahman helped take home the 15U championship on the DR7 circuit this weekend with Grind Factory. They made easy work of opponents with a total 6-1 record from both days. This kid was one of the better QBs to attend the event as the ball ripped out of his hands combined with his solid footwork to deliver accurate passes. He’s a rising 2027 prospect who’ll have the chance to generate interest around his recruitment.
Kade Clemmons | QB | 2026 | Muscle Shoals | @KadeClemmonsQB
Clemmons finished this weekend as a top 18U QB standout who displayed good timing and ball placement with his wideouts this weekend. The 6-2, 205-pound junior is slept-on but will have the chance to put his name on the map headed into spring ball with a talented Muscle Shoals program.
Cannon Robinson | QB | 2028 | @CannonRobinson3
Robinson is a young but rising 2028 QB who showed off some positive traits this weekend. One of the better 14-15U QBs on the circuit because of his understanding of the position and the obvious work he’s put in on his frame and footwork mechanics. He still has plenty of time to work on the fundamentals but look out for his name to continue rising.
Christian Segar | QB | 2027 | Spanish Fort | @christian_segar
Likely the top team on Day One was GCA 15U, led by rising sophomore QB Christian Segar. This kid had weapons to work with and wasn’t afraid to use them as they dominated opponents on Day One of the tournament. His second time as a standout on The Platform, the 2027 riser has taken advantage of the 7v7 offseason period to spotlight his talents. He showed off his ability to be an accurate distributor with solid arm strength and ball placement.
Best of the Rest:
Caleb Hill | QB | 2027 | Sandy Creek | @caleb_8hill
Look out for this kid to rise and generate some interest around his potential upside. Hill played a division up this weekend as played with Huncho Elite’s 18U squad.
Davis Barnett | QB | 2028 | Gulf Shores | @Davis_321
One of the premier 2028 QB prospects made an appearance this weekend on the DR7 circuit where he displayed his potential to be the future for his high school in the coming years. Barnett is a name to keep an eye out for as he can rise to the top with plenty of time to build on his overall frame and positive QB traits.
