Over 110 top football prospects from across the nation competed at the Kansas Jayhawks Elite Camp in Lawrence, Kansas. Athletes traveled from states including Florida, Texas, Oklahoma, Alabama, California, and New York to go head-to-head with the Midwest’s best for a chance to showcase their talent in front of Kansas coaches and recruiters.
Here are some of the top performers from the day:
2027 Cornerback: Cordale “Qwix” Johnson
@CordaleQJohnson | Wichita Northwest HS (Wichita, KS)
Johnson, well-known from his 7v7 play with the Wichita Wheat, showed why he’s a top defensive back. He displayed excellent speed, anticipation, and high-pointing ability in both drills and 1-on-1 sessions. Johnson was never beaten deep and led vocally on the field.
2026 Tight End: Noah Kobuszewski
@NoahKobuszewski | Topeka Seaman HS (Topeka, KS)
At 6-foot-4, 225 pounds, Noah put up some impressive combine numbers, with a 4.18 shuttle and 4.75 40-yard dash, showing that he has next level talent. He has started to gain some traction in his recruitment this offseason. Holding offers from Garden City CC, Butler CC, Benedictine, and Missouri Western he is on several college programs radars. All camp long he demonstrated elite route running, regularly beating linebackers and defensive backs.
2028 Wide Receiver: Jeremiah Hull
@jeremiahhull23 | Raymore Pec HS (Peculiar, MO)
Standing at 6-foot-5 and 185 pounds, Hull is already one of the nation’s most recognized class of 2028 receivers. He showcased top-end speed, strong route-running, and consistent separation in 1-on-1s. He has already visited programs like Florida State, Nebraska, Missouri, Kansas, Kansas State, Iowa State, Iowa, and Georgia Tech.
2027 Cornerback: Lai Fisher
@FisherLai4 | Cascia Hall Prep (Tulsa, OK)
Fisher stood out in DB drills, displaying textbook technique, balance, and coverage discipline. His performance in 1-on-1s was dominant, never allowing an uncontested catch.
2026 Cornerback: Jamal Greene Jr.
@MallGreene1 | Shawnee Mission North HS (Shawnee Mission, KS)
Greene went undefeated in 1-on-1s, frequently breaking up passes with well-timed reads. He is physical at the point of attack and displayed superb technique in coverage. Greene showed why he’s considered one of the top DBs in Kansas.
2027 Wide Receiver: Pearce George
@pearcegeorge13 | Maize HS (Maize, KS)
George posted a perfect 9-0 record in 1-on-1 drills. At 6’0”, 190 pounds, he’s a versatile athlete who has played multiple positions. His commitment to offseason training is evident in his route precision and physicality.
2027 Wide Receiver: Traice Collier
@TraiceCollier | Raytown HS (Raytown, MO)
Collier’s 6’3”, 175-pound frame and smooth release off the line made him a tough matchup. With physicality and strong footwork, Collier is a player who could earn a Kansas offer soon.
2026 Quarterback: Brett LaDuke
@Brett_LaDuke | Highland Park HS (Highland Park, TX)
LaDuke impressed Kansas coaches with a quick release, clean mechanics, and consistent accuracy during throwing sessions. At 6-foot-4, 215 pounds, he fits the mold of a pro-style quarterback.
2029 WR/TE: Sam Hopkins

Though listed as a wide receiver, Hopkins projects well as a pass-catching tight end. His size, agility, and strength stood out. One of the most promising young prospects at the camp.
2027 Quarterback: Bryis Alford

Alford continues to shine on the camp circuit. His leadership stood out just as much as his arm talent. Always the first in line and vocal with teammates, Alford is the type of quarterback coaches want leading their offense.
2026 Running Back: Wyatt Gavin
@WyattGavin8 | Grove HS (Grove, OK)
A standout two-sport athlete, Gavin showed quick feet and soft hands in RB vs LB drills. His speed and ability to create separation out of the backfield make him a dangerous offensive weapon.
2026 Quarterback: Colby Watson
@ColbyWatson_3 | Grove HS (Grove, OK)
Watson may have been the most polished quarterback in attendance. At 6-foot-4, 220 pounds, he displayed a powerful arm and precise mechanics. Threw with timing, accuracy, and touch throughout the session.
2026 Wide Receiver: Isaac Sheffield
@sheffield85_ | Grove HS (Grove, OK)
Sheffield has already built a strong resume with 785 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns last season. A member of elite 7v7 program Sooner7, he’s drawing offers from Central Oklahoma and Emporia State and is poised for more.
2027 Wide Receiver: Cooper Mason

Mason continues to improve with every camp he attends. With impressive top-end speed and a superb work ethic, he’s set to become a key contributor at Andover Central and a rising name in recruiting circles.
2027 Wide Receiver: Jacob Lockett
@jacoblockett11 | Blue Valley HS (Overland Park, KS)
With NFL pedigree and elite athleticism, Lockett displayed exceptional route running, strong hands, and leaping ability. He’s a natural playmaker with the physical tools to become a Power Five recruit.
2027 Linebacker: Brenton Findley
@brenton15467628 | Andover Central HS (Andover, KS)
A cornerstone of Andover Central’s state championship defense, Findley brings toughness and sideline-to-sideline speed. His versatility and football IQ make him a high-upside linebacker.
2027 Running Back: Armane Redmond
@Armane1_ | Salina South HS (Salina, KS)
Redmond ran with power, vision, and impressive balance during the drills portion of the camp and he excelled in the 1v1s competition. His forward-leaning, physical running style stood out when you turn on his film, and his performance confirmed his status as one of the top 2027 backs in the state of Kansas.
2026 Linebacker: Austin Bouck
@AustinBouck | Fort Walton Beach HS (Fort Walton Beach, FL)
At 6-foot-4 210 pounds, Bouck brings size and athleticism that enables him to excel at the linebacker position. With offers from Navy, Army, Lehigh, Samford, and others, he showed his ability to play both linebacker and edge rusher, displaying his versatility all camp long.
2026 Linebacker: Malachi Murph
@MalachiMurph | Topeka High HS (Topeka, KS)
Murph brings unmatched work ethic and passion to the field. A leader for his high school and 7v7 team Top City Most Wanted, Murph is constantly improving and plays with the kind of attitude that coaches value. He had a standout performance and is a name to know heading into the fall season.
Final Thoughts
The June 18 Kansas Jayhawks Elite Camp proved to be a showcase of both regional and national talent. From well-established recruits to emerging underclassmen, this camp featured several future stars. Keep a close eye on these names as the 2024-25 season progresses.
