The 2025 season couldn’t have started much better for senior running back Trey Mosely. In the opening week, Mosely powered his Southwest Christian squad to a hard-fought 28-25 victory over Trinity Valley, delivering a performance that immediately put him on the state’s radar.
Mosely was unstoppable, carrying the ball 32 times for 335 yards and two touchdowns, including an 80 yard sprint for six. His combination of size, strength, and athleticism made him a nightmare for defenders all night long.
A big, physical back at 6-foot 220 lbs., Mosely thrives on contact and runs with a natural power that allows him to break through arm tackles. He’s equally dangerous in space, showing quick feet, elusiveness, and the ability to make defenders miss with a subtle wiggle. Add in his stiff-arm and speed, and Mosely has all the tools to turn routine carries into highlight-reel runs.
For his efforts, Mosely was recognized as the Texas Private School Football TAPPS Division II Player of the Week for Week One, a well-deserved honor that reflects both his individual dominance and his importance to his team’s success.
With a start like this, expect Mosely to be one of the names to watch throughout the season.
