Evaluation:
Ben Ebeke continues to build momentum as one of the most productive and complete backs in the Dallas area. His latest outing, nearly 300 total yards and four touchdowns, showed off a full toolbox of traits that translate well to the next level.
Ebeke runs with a strong lower body and excellent pad level, consistently finishing through contact. His first step and lateral agility allow him to find lanes quickly, and his open-field acceleration makes him a threat to score from anywhere on the field. He’s a true three-down back with the versatility to run inside, bounce outside, and contribute as a receiver.
On film, Ebeke shows excellent vision and patience behind his blockers. He reads leverage well, setting up cutback lanes and showing the ability to make defenders miss in tight spaces. Once he hits the second level, his balance and body control stand out, rarely does he go down on first contact.
Ebeke’s football IQ is equally impressive. He understands down-and-distance situations, protects the football, and contributes in pass protection. Coaches praise his leadership, consistency, and relentless work ethic.
Outlook:
Ebeke is a next level talent who is making a statement with his outstanding play. Programs looking for a complete, physical back with game-breaking ability should have him firmly on their radar.
He projects as a running back who can thrive in a balanced or spread offensive system. With continued development, Ebeke has the potential to develop into a starter at the next level.
Bottom Line:
Ben Ebeke is a complete back with next-level ability, a balanced blend of power, quickness, and vision who elevates his team every time he touches the football. His week 10 performance was another reminder that his stock is trending in the right direction, and college programs would be wise to take notice.
