Like the defensive side of the ball the offensive side was filled with many standouts. But Noel Devine Jr. was the king of the class this past weekend. He played with Breeze 15U and attends Caloosa Middle School, this young man is in the 8th grade!!

Background.

3 sport athlete who dominates on and off the field as an honor roll student athlete. His middle school basketball team has went undefeated in the past two seasons. Track speed running a 11.2 100m…In the 8th grade! You watch him live and it is one of the more impressive young man to be around. Equally great on and off the field. Spend 1 minute talking to him and you can tell that he is special. Noel played 15U and 18U this past weekend and excelled in both.

I don’t want to overstate, but I would not be doing a good job if I didn’t say what I saw and what I believe this young man is and can be. He is a Saturday and Sunday athlete.

Verified track speed that translates directly to play speed. Short area quickness and burst is off the charts. Explosive and elite acceleration and control out of breaks. Loose and efficient mover with amazing body control. Advanced understanding of leverage. Sudden in and out of breaks, snaps routes with intent. On 15U won nearly 100% on option routes, pivots and shallow. Natural catcher tracks the ball cleanly, strong focus in traffic. Electric after catch. Coachable, detail oriented and composed. I didn’t see Amon-Ra St. Brown at 14, but I would guess it would look very similar.

A name if you don’t already know.  Do yourself a favor and follow this young man.
