Road To The Crown New Orleans: 14U Difference Makers Shine on Day One

Pool play in New Orleans was competitive from the opening whistle. The 14U division featured several prospects who are still finishing middle school but will transition to the high school level this fall.

The arm talent at quarterback was evident. The dynamic skill sets on the perimeter stood out. Defensively, multiple athletes showed the ability to flip the field in an instant.

The mission of The Platform remains the same: Expose The Unexposed and bring national coverage to emerging prospects across the country. Day one in New Orleans delivered on that standard.

Below are the standouts who made an impact.

    Jevoda Horn

    ATH | Class of 2029

    7v7: AOA

    Germantown HS (Miss.)

Horn wasted no time making his presence felt. On the first defensive snap, he secured a one-handed interception that set the tone.

He possesses a long, lean frame with the speed to stay in phase down the field. He is a sticky defender with natural ball skills.

On offense, Horn displayed a large catch radius and strong hands, finishing through contact. He helped lead AOA to a 3-0 record in pool play and was one of the most complete two-way performers of the day.

    Jaylin Brown

    ATH | Class of 2030

    7v7: AOA

    Hartfield Academy (Miss.)

Brown was one of the most impressive athletes in the division. He is explosive off the line with the speed to create separation immediately.

At receiver, he tracks the football naturally and secures it cleanly in traffic. On defense, he recorded multiple pass breakups and showed the versatility to impact the game on both sides of the ball.

He has not yet reached high school, but his skill set suggests a prospect with long-term upside.

    Amarreau Coleman

    QB | Class of 2029

    7v7: AOA

    Clinton HS (Miss.)

Coleman operates with confidence and command. He has a strong arm, clean mechanics, and throws with anticipation.

He consistently led receivers into space and delivered timing routes with precision. His ability to process quickly allowed AOA to maintain offensive rhythm throughout the day.

Coleman quarterbacked the AOA squad to a 3-0 performance in pool play and looked comfortable in every situation.

    Trent Perkins

    WR | Class of 2030

    7v7: Tennessee Vultures

    Smyrna (Tenn.)

Perkins is a big target with reliable hands. He understands how to use his frame in tight coverage and finishes catches through contact.

He runs disciplined routes and showed functional speed to threaten vertically. Though not yet in high school, Perkins displayed traits that project well moving forward. He was a bright spot in the Vultures’ offense on day one.

    Kaiden Chadwick

    WR | Class of 2029

    7v7: Tennessee Vultures

    Pearl-Cohn HS (Tenn.)

Chadwick was difficult to contain. His quick-twitch movement and change-of-direction ability allowed him to separate consistently.

He stretched the field vertically and produced multiple catches in heavy traffic. While undersized compared to some peers, he plays bigger than his frame and competes at a high level.

One of the top pure playmakers in the 14U division on day one.

    Marquez Taylor

    ATH | Class of 2029

    7v7: AOA

    Yazoo City HS (Miss.)

Taylor is electric in space. He is twitchy, decisive, and creates separation at the second level.

He showed reliable hands offensively and was a tough cover in man situations. Defensively, he added several pass breakups and competed at a high level throughout pool play.

A versatile athlete who impacts the game in multiple phases.

    Kelvin Robinson Jr.

    ATH | Class of 2030

    7v7: AOA

    Northwest Rankin (Miss.)

Robinson displayed strong instincts and fluid movement in space. He recorded several pass breakups and consistently read route concepts.

His biggest moment came on a game-changing pick-six. He diagnosed the quarterback’s eyes, undercut the route, and finished the play in the end zone.

A high-IQ defender with emerging playmaking ability.

    Cade Bouldin

    QB | Class of 2030

    7v7: Tennessee Vultures

Bouldin delivered a sharp, efficient performance on day one. He consistently got the ball out on time and operated with poise in the pocket.

He has a quick trigger and showed the ability to push the football outside the numbers on a rope. His mechanics are compact, and he throws from a strong, balanced base.

For a quarterback in the Class of 2030, the command and decisiveness stood out. Bouldin kept the Vultures on schedule and demonstrated traits that project well as he transitions toward the high school level.

Day one in New Orleans showcased a strong wave of upcoming talent. Several of these prospects will enter high school this fall, and based on their performances, they are positioned to make early impacts.

The 14U division set the tone.
