Four-star defensive back Jerry Outhouse Jr. has announced his commitment to the Georgia Bulldogs, giving the SEC powerhouse another elite defensive talent in the secondary.
The North Crowley High School standout chose Georgia over a strong list of finalists that included Texas Tech, Arizona State, Florida, and UCLA. His decision continues Georgia’s trend of landing top-tier defensive prospects from talent-rich Texas.
At 6-foot, 180 pounds, Outhouse Jr. possesses an athletic frame with outstanding positional versatility. He has the ability to line up at cornerback or safety, making him a valuable chess piece in the defensive backfield. His extended length shows up consistently at the point of attack, allowing him to disrupt receivers and contest passes effectively.
Outhouse Jr. plays with a physical edge, particularly in press coverage, where he uses his size and strength to get hands on receivers early at the line of scrimmage. He competes aggressively and shows the instincts and closing speed needed to make plays on the football.
He also brings physicality in the run game. Outhouse Jr. is a reliable tackler who plays well in space, breaks down effectively, and comes downhill in run support. That combination of coverage ability and toughness makes him a complete defensive back prospect.
During the offseason camp circuit, Outhouse Jr. continued to raise his national profile. At the Under Armour Camp in Dallas, he ran an impressive 4.43 in the 40-yard dash, showcasing the elite speed that complements his length and physical style of play. His performance earned him an invitation to the prestigious Under Armour All-American Game, further displaying his status as one of the top defensive backs in the country.
Outhouse Jr. also had an outstanding 2025 season at North Crowley, earning First Team All-District honors in Texas District 3-6A, the highest classification in Texas high school football. He played a major role in helping the Panthers finish 12–2 and reach the 6A Division I state quarterfinals.
With his blend of size, speed, and positional versatility, Outhouse Jr. projects as a defensive back with a very high ceiling. If his development continues on its current path, he has the tools to become a multi-year starter at the next level.
Georgia continues to stack elite defensive talent, and the addition of Jerry Outhouse Jr. gives the Bulldogs another playmaker in the secondary with the ability to make an impact in the SEC.
