The Main Event Camp took place at Lakeland Christian High on Saturday with more than 100 prospects from various schools in Polk, Pasco, the Orlando area, and beyond in attendance. Participants had the chance to undergo test drills, including the 40-yard, and be coached by local position coaches before the highly anticipated 1v1 session. Drew Johnson, The Platform National Scout, identified several DOG standouts, which made for an exhilarating end period. Let’s see who made a name for themselves at this year’s Main Event Camp.
*There were a lot of athletes to get my eyes on but these are some of the wide receivers that caught my attention.
Top WR Standouts:
Tahjae Mcqueen | WR | Class of 2024 | Auburndale | @TahjaeMcqueen10
Mcqueen gives off that DOG energy each time I see him. He’s not afraid to get his reps during these camp-like settings and usually dominates his opportunities. Showed off good route running skills today and won most of his reps, earning the WR MVP award at the end of camp. Got to keep my eyes on his development as we head into the fall season.

Ryan Screen | WR | Class of 2024 | Fort Meade | @s_ryanscreen
If you’re in the Polk County area, you’ve heard of the rising 2024 WR Joshua Porter but we may have just uncovered the missing piece to the Fort Meade offense. Ryan Screen was undoubtedly one of the top standouts out today. He displayed slick route running skills combined with a DOG mentality that transitioned to the 1v1 period. Screen has great hands and caught almost everything thrown his way today.

Ora Farlow | WR | Class of 2024 | Winter Haven | @OraFarlow
Despite not having the physical presence of some other receivers, Ora Farlow makes up for it with lightning-fast speed and the ability to run crisp, precise routes. Farlow is good at creating separation from defenders and finishing with strong hands. His performance at camp earned him a spot as a top WR standout and the respect of his peers, as the slick route runner is poised to continue his success in the upcoming season.

Kordell Lewis | WR | Class of 2024 | Lake Gibson | @kordell_lewis
Not sure how Kordell Lewis continues to fly under the radar after putting on a good display during the 7v7 period and the spring offseason with his high school. The 6’2, 175-pound rising senior continues to develop his route running bag and his speed to take the top off the defense. It’s a shame some schools in Florida miss out on hidden gems in their backyards who could make a big impact at the next level. Lewis has a great frame and excellent big-play ability, making him a valuable asset to any team.
