2030 QB Javin Cheek | Underdog Mentality
Javin Cheek continues to impress on the gridiron. A very vocal field general that obtains a very high football IQ at his age. Ability to read and understand defenses sets him apart from most 12u QBs. During Pool play his offense marched down the field very swiftly displaying his arm strength gaining 30+ yards per play. With great trust in his receivers as well they were able to score on almost every offensive drive. Cheek was also playing both ways as he checked in at LB for his team locking down anything underneath that the opponent tried.
2029 ATH Tayquan Varnadore | Underdog Mentality
Varnadore was fun to watch being all over the field. A true athlete that made huge impacts on both sides of the ball. He stood out first as a receiver, very quick off the line, runs smooth across the field to get open and isn’t afraid to fight for the ball In traffic. He became one of his QBs most reliable receivers in the game to secure a positive game. On defense he showed off his speed in full stride sticking by his opponents down field. Also had crucial PBUs that helped secure some close wins as they come into Championship Sunday as the #7 seed.
2029 WR Zhiyerre Magic Kennedy | Prime Truth
One of the fastest 12u players on the circuit was Magic Kennedy. In true Florida fashion their speed is like no other. Magic Kennedy displayed the wheels Saturday with short pass receptions then letting his feet do the work. Shifty in then open field to make defenders miss and once he gets downfield, in stride he will outrun anyone to the goal line. The young speedster fits perfect in Prime Truth’s offense who’s always on go.
2030 ATH Max McCarver | Athlete Factory
McCarver separated himself today with impressive with his size and using very inch to his advantage. With decent length, was able to stay stride for stride in coverage against any receiver. Rarely anything got behind him in the secondary as he displayed fluid hips to turn and open up downfield to always stay close in coverage. At receiver his height gives him the advantage to leave the ball on the top shelf and with swift route running was always able to find himself open.
