    Prospect Spotlight: Week 3 Playmakers

    Written by: Drew Johnson (@RealNews102)

    Curtis Dewberry | ATH | 2026 | Lake Brantley | @C4Dew

Dewberry continues to show just how versatile he is. This time, he lit it up at running back, piling up over 175 total yards and 5 touchdowns (one called back). His ability to slide into different roles and still dominate makes him a true difference-maker.

    Jayce Jones | ATH | 2026 | Northside Christian | @JayceSonic

Jones has been the spark behind Northside Christian’s 3-0 start. He found the end zone 4 times this weekend, proving again that he’s one of the more underrated athletes in the area. A weapon on both sides of the ball who deserves more attention.

    Nino Joseph | RB | 2027 | Lely | @Ninaudj015

Joseph is quickly becoming one of Florida’s top 2027 backs. He ran for 155 yards and 2 scores on 20 carries while also adding a reception. Shifty in space but powerful through contact, he’s a name you’ll be hearing a lot more of next year.

    Aaron Truedell | RB | 2027 | LCS | @clapz_aj

Truedell showed why he’s one of Polk County’s most explosive runners. With 219 rushing yards and 2 TDs, averaging 9.5 per carry, he proved he can gash defenses inside or bounce runs outside. Add his ability to catch out of the backfield, and he’s a complete back.

    Tucker Fox | ATH | 2026 | VCA | @tuckerfox15

Fox might be known more for his basketball resume, but he has reminded everyone that he’s a force on the football field too. In VCA’s big win over Frostproof, he had 2 touchdowns, 4 tackles, and a TFL. Tough, athletic, and productive — a hidden gem colleges need to track.

    Trenton Gummer | DB | 2026 | Bishop Moore | @trentongummer

Already respected as a lockdown DB, Gummer added to his reputation with a monster day on special teams. He racked up 200+ yards and 2 TDs in the return game while still laying the wood on defense. The kind of versatility college coaches love.

    Jermaine May | ATH | 2026 | Lake Region | @_2JermaineGw

May has the makings of a true two-way star. He locked down his side of the field, allowing zero passing yards while blocking 2 field goals (including the game-winner). On offense, he hauled in 4 catches, including 2 deep plays that set up scores. Flat-out game-changer.

    Ja’Marian Clark | ATH | 2027 | The Villages | @JamarianClarkk

Clark delivered a breakout performance in a statement upset win. He caught 11 passes for 157 yards and 3 TDs, showing off reliable hands and strong blocking. Stock is rising fast.

    Caleb Reed | ATH | 2027 | Lake Brantley | @caleb_reed

Reed was a force all night, putting up 13 tackles, 5 TFLs, and 2 pass breakups in a tough battle with Oviedo. His motor and impact on every snap show he’s becoming a cornerstone piece for Lake Brantley.

    Otis Reed | ATH | 2026 | Armwood | @0tis6k

Reed’s energy jumps off the tape. He was flying around defensively, making sideline-to-sideline plays, while also punishing defenders when lined up on offense. Had a strong showing in a high-level matchup that proved he belongs on recruiting radars.

    Malachi Hairston | ATH | 2027 | ZCA | @Malihairston

Hairston did it all in ZCA’s bounce-back win. He scored 4 touchdowns, including a pick-6 on defense, showing off both his offensive versatility and defensive instincts. Big-time performance from a player on the rise.
