Cameron Lucas has all the tools you want in a next-level defensive lineman. He fires off the ball with a quick get-off, shows natural bend, and combines it with violent, well-timed hands and a stiff punch. His power allows him to collapse the pocket, while his motor and lateral quickness make him disruptive across the line. Lucas is stout against the run, plays with discipline, and rarely overruns plays.
A key piece of Celina’s state title run as a junior, Lucas has come out even stronger in 2025. He posted 10 tackles in week one, then followed it up with a monster performance against No. 3-ranked Waco La Vega, racking up 3 sacks, 10 tackles, a fumble recovery, an interception, and a safety in a statement game.
Lucas already holds offers from Millsaps, Clark Atlanta, and Hendrix College. FCS and Group of Five programs should be making their way to Celina soon to get eyes on him. Lucas is a prospect to keep an eye this fall as the Bobcats make another run to a state title.
