Top Colorado QB Nick Radi Signs with Historical Power Morningside University

One of the top quarterbacks in the state of Colorado, Nick Radi of Thomas Jefferson High School signed with historically powerful, title-winning Morningside University on February 4th, National Signing Day.

After playing for Coach Daniel Vigil and DUCKS 7v7 for many years, Radi developed into one of the top quarterbacks in the state of Colorado. He also traveled across the country to attend camps, showcasing his talent in front of college coaches.

DRSportz Midwest scout “Coach Buckets” has been a longtime follower and supporter of Nick Radi and spoke with him about his decision to commit to Morningside University.

DRSportz: You had an extremely successful career at Thomas Jefferson High School and with DUCKS 7v7. With that success came a large number of offers. What stood out about the historically successful football program at Morningside that made you choose the Mustangs?

Nick Radi: They have a great history of football and a lot of championships. They like to throw the ball a lot, the coaching staff is top-notch, and I really like the campus.

DRSportz: You are one of the top quarterbacks in Colorado, and Morningside is located in Sioux City, Iowa. How did Morningside notice your talent?

Nick Radi: I built a relationship with the recruiting coach for Colorado pretty early in the process. We developed a lot of rapport and communication, stayed in touch, and I sent a lot of film.

DRSportz: I had the opportunity to watch you play with DUCKS 7v7 and I saw you perform well at multiple camps as well. Are there any exposure camps you would advise 2027 and 2028 recruits to attend?

Nick Radi: I would tell kids coming up to only attend camps where you’re starting to develop relationships with the coaching staff and the recruiting coordinator, rather than just showing up to a camp because of a logo.

DRSportz: What key suggestions would you give to 2027 and 2028 recruits who are trying to get recruited?

Nick Radi: I would tell the 2027s and 2028s to be very active on X. Send plenty of film,  send transcripts and workout information. Follow the coaches at schools you’re interested in, start messaging them and emailing that content consistently.

DRSportz: What will you be studying at Morningside?

Nick Radi: I will be studying business management, but I’m not completely decided yet.
