Tampa Flex showed they are not only the best 12U team at DR7 Tampa, but one of the top teams in the country at the 12U level. Led by MVP wide receiver duo Autonomy Brown and King Howard, Tampa Flex powered through a talented field of 19 teams, finishing the weekend with a dominant 30–13 championship victory.
Flex opened Saturday pool play with a 20–2 win over Prime8, followed by a 26–0 shutout of Prospect Performance. They closed the day with a 37–6 victory over the Villages Stampeders, finishing pool play 3–0 and earning the #3 seed heading into Sunday bracket play.
With the #3 seed, Tampa Flex earned a first-round bye before facing the Villages Stampeders again in round two, where they delivered another convincing 31–6 win. In the quarterfinals, Flex defeated MFTK 27–6, advancing to the semifinals.
The semifinal matchup against #2 seed Next Level proved to be one of the toughest games of the tournament. Next Level was led by highly accurate QB Mason Rueter and dynamic playmaker Knox McGeoghan, but Tampa Flex answered the challenge with a 23–16 victory to punch their ticket to the championship game.
In the title game against #1 seed Team Elite All the Smoke, King Howard made a major impact on both sides of the ball. Playing wide receiver and safety, Howard completely shut down one side of the field defensively while adding two touchdown receptions, including a 30-yard crossing route he took to the sideline and outran defenders to the end zone.
Autonomy Brown was equally dominant, finishing with four receptions and two touchdowns. Brown turned short catches into explosive plays, weaving through defenders for 30- and 20-yard gains, while also scoring on a 15-yard touchdown and a 1-yard whip route score.
With elite playmakers leading the way, Tampa Flex 12U officially punched their ticket to The Crown, capping off a championship weekend and solidifying their status as one of the top teams in the nation at the 12U level.
