Another DR7 weekend is in the books, and The Woodlands brought out serious talent from across Florida, Louisiana, and Oklahoma. Championship Sunday was loaded with big-time performances, and these are the names you need to know.
Thomas Cook Jr | DB | 2026 | North Crowley | @Thomascookjr_7
Some defensive backs just have a knack for finding the football, and Cook showed he’s one of them. His ball-hawking instincts and lockdown coverage were on full display. He plays with confidence, aggression, and an elite ability to track throws—making him a true difference-maker in the secondary.
Jordan Lane | DB | 2027 | Tuttle | @JordanLane2027
Lane brought the energy all weekend and showed exactly why he’s one of the most competitive DBs in his class. He strung together back-to-back straps and consistently found ways to frustrate receivers with his physical play and high IQ. His athleticism allows him to play multiple roles in the secondary, and his upside is undeniable.
Jeramie Cooper | TE | 2026 | North Crowley | @Jeramie_D1
Good luck trying to slow down Cooper. At 6-4, he’s already a nationally ranked prospect, and his offer list backs it up. He’s got elite hands, crisp footwork, and a physical presence that makes him a nightmare matchup. When the ball was in the air, it felt like a foregone conclusion that he’d come down with it.
Jaivion Martin | TE | 2026 | Pflugerville | @JaivionMartin
Martin is exactly what quarterbacks want in a tight end—big, reliable, and always in the right spot. At 6-4, 245 pounds, he moves like a receiver and knows how to shield defenders with his frame. He thrived in contested-catch situations and was a red-zone weapon all weekend.
Amari Vickerson | DL | 2027 | Cypress Ranch | @iam_amari99
Vickerson is already built like a college lineman at 6-4, 290 pounds, but his versatility is what makes him special. He ran legit routes in the 7v7 setting, making tough catches look easy, and that’s before you even factor in his dominance in the trenches. He’s one of the more unique prospects in Texas’ 2027 class.
Kentrail McCray | DB | 2026 | Clearwater | @_KentrailMcrae5
McCray continues to show why he’s one of Florida’s top young DBs. At 6-2, 165 pounds, his length and instincts allow him to take away entire sections of the field. He’s smooth in coverage, rarely out of position, and plays with a veteran-like presence.
Chase Sanders | WR | 2026 | Cy-Fair | @Chase_Sanders07
Sanders lined up with SlimeyBoyz 7v7 and put on a show. At 6-4, he’s a mismatch nightmare with the leaping ability and strong hands to dominate in jump-ball situations. What separates him is his route-running—crisp, explosive, and polished beyond his years. He’s the kind of receiver that makes QBs look good.
Carter St. Junious | WR | 2028 | Manvel | @Carterkuttinup
St. Junious stood out with his size and hands in the 2028 division. He’s got a wide catch radius and showed natural tracking ability downfield. For a rising freshman, his ability to high-point the ball was impressive, making him a name to monitor.
Emory Snyder | ATH | 2026 | Bixby | @EmorySnyder5
Hustle Inc came and stole the show this weekend in Houston and it starts with kid this. Impactful on both sides of the ball and brought the DOG energy all weekend. He’s a prospect to know in Oklahoma at 6-4, 205 pounds with decent speed and athleticism.
Peyton Smith | WR | 2028 | La Porte | @d1_pey_pey
Smith is a smooth route-runner with the speed to stretch the field. He tracks deep throws effortlessly and knows how to put defenders in bad spots. His ability to manipulate DBs and win one-on-one matchups makes him a problem in any setting.
Sanjae Green | DB | 2028 | Lakewood | @t0_him
Green locked things down on the back end and showed out as one of the most athletic DBs in his class. He’s got speed, ball skills, and natural coverage ability. And if you need an exclamation point? He capped off his performance with two front flips after a game-sealing pick.
Konner Dandridge | WR | 2026 | Bridgeland | @KonnerDandridge
Dandridge impacted the game on both sides of the ball, but his play at receiver stood out. He created separation, made tough catches, and adjusted to the ball in key moments. His versatility makes him one of the more well-rounded athletes in the division.
BJ LaFell | ATH | @Blafell1
LaFell showed off great hands, clean route-running, and elite speed out of the slot. It wasn’t until after I watched him dominate at WR that I realized he’s actually a QB. Either way, he’s a dynamic weapon and a name to watch come Friday nights.
Briceson Thrower Jr | WR | 2027 | Forney | @briceson_jr
A trusted source told me to check out Thrower Jr., and he lived up to the hype. At 6-4, 189 pounds, he’s got the speed to stretch defenses and the size to win in contested situations. His ceiling at the position is incredibly high.
Juwaan Woodbury | WR | 2026 | Ball | @JuwaanWoodbury
Woodbury can take a quick screen and turn it into a house call. He’s a crafty route-runner who finds ways to create separation late in routes. Whether it’s deep shots or quick-game concepts, he’s dangerous whenever the ball is in his hands.
Jacarsten Landor | ATH | Lamar | @Thejlandor_1
Landor has that Florida speed—he can take a 5-yard pass and turn it into a 50-yard touchdown in an instant. His ability to make defenders miss in space gave secondaries trouble all weekend.
Terrell Stinson | DB | 2028 | Clear Lake | @terrell_stinson
Stinson is compact, explosive, and plays bigger than his size. He’s aggressive in coverage, breaks on the ball well, and doesn’t shy away from contact. He’s got all the tools to be a tough-nosed DB on Friday nights.
JoJo Howard | WR | 2027 | Auburndale | @jokerwondr
One of the more underrated prospects in Polk County, but that won’t last long. Howard is a smooth, polished route-runner with elite separation skills. With the right QB, his numbers are going to skyrocket this season.
Austin Ho | WR | 2025 | @iamaustin1ho
Ho is a nightmare for DBs—quick, shifty, and precise in his routes. He was a go-to target all weekend, finding ways to get open and making plays at every level. His slot-receiver skill set is going to translate well to the next level.
This weekend brought out real talent, and these guys left their mark. Another DR7 stop, another group of names added to the watchlist.
