We highlight several top performers who had outstanding days on Crown Sunday in OKC.
Class of 2028 two-way standout Denton Townsend continued to impress on Day Two of DR7 Oklahoma City, following up his stellar pool play performance with a Sunday filled with hard-fought touchdowns. Townsend showcased his polished skill set, proving to be a nightmare for defenders at the line of scrimmage. When pressed, he displayed elite body control, dictating the battle by positioning defenders where he wanted rather than allowing them to dictate the play. When given space, Townsend capitalized by running precise, sharp routes with knee-bending cuts, maintaining perfect balance and control. His ability to consistently get open played a crucial role in helping his The Unit 918 squad make a deep run into the bracket on Crown Sunday.
Say Less 7v7 dominated pool play on Saturday, storming through the competition with a perfect 3-0 record while racking up 108 points and allowing just 36. Their high-powered offense and lockdown defense set the tone early, and they carried that momentum into Sunday’s bracket play.
Leading the charge was 2027 wide receiver Marvion Herron, who played a crucial role in propelling Say Less into the 15U Championship Game. Herron’s speed was a difference-maker, allowing him to create separation and capitalize on scoring opportunities.
The Say Less roster was stacked with talent, including standout two-way athlete Reggie Butler from the 2028 class. While he contributed at wide receiver, Butler shined at cornerback, using disciplined footwork, sound technique, and strong hand placement to disrupt passes and force turnovers.
Joining the squad was fellow 2028 athlete Elijah Lewis, a dynamic wide receiver and strong safety. Defensively, Lewis showcased his high football IQ, manipulating quarterbacks with before breaking on the ball for key plays. He also displayed excellent awareness in zone coverage, showing the ability to communicate on the backend and this allowed him control to his deep responsibilities. With this level of talent, Say Less proved to be one of the toughest teams on the field all weekend.
C4 Future claimed the 15U Championship with a dominant team performance, showcasing depth, talent, and relentless effort from start to finish. Leading the charge was 2027 standout Tyson Laster, who followed up his impressive Saturday showing with an MVP-winning performance on Sunday. Laster’s elite ball-tracking skills made him a constant threat—if the ball was in the air, he was there, consistently putting himself in position to make game-changing plays.
Also earning MVP honors was C4’s rising 2028 star, DK Jeffries. Jeffries delivered a commanding performance, proving to be nearly unstoppable with his combination of strong hands and elite speed. Whether outmuscling defenders for contested catches or using his explosiveness to create separation, Jeffries was a game-changer in C4’s championship run. With these two leading the way, C4 Future left no doubt about their place at the top of the 15U division on Crown Sunday in Oklahoma City.
