    Platform Spotlight: The Box Showcase MVPs

    Some of the top players in the Houston area came out to compete at The Box Showcase, a premier event that featured elite matchups including QBs, RBs vs. LBs, and TEs vs. DBs. The event gave athletes a chance to refine their skills and go head-to-head with high-level competition. Here are the MVPs at each position:

    Shaan Patel – QB MVP (Fulshear, Class of 2026)

    Patel showed why he’s poised for a breakout senior year.

    • Strong arm and pinpoint accuracy
    • Leads receivers with precision passing on their routes
    • Fit passes into tight windows 
    • Dominated in passing drills and 1v1s

      Verdict: Top passer at the event; expect a big 2025 from him at Fulshear.

    Tristan Willis – RB MVP (Class of 2026)

    The most dominant player at the showcase, Willis was unguardable

    • Elite pass-catching ability
    • Crisp route runner with receiver-like polish
    • Explosive and elusive runner
    • Made defenders miss with ease during 1v1s vs LBs

      Verdict: Overall MVP; one of the top junior backs in the state of Texas.

    Dominic Giametta – TE MVP (Class of 2026)

    Giametta stood out with a complete skill set at the position.

    • Strong hands and polished route running
    • Quick off the ball with great body control
    • Reliable target with late hands
    • Physical at the point of attack

      Note: Also a standout baseball player committed to Alabama.

    Joseph Credit – LB MVP (Class of 2026)

    Credit backed up his recruitment buzz with a dominant showing.

    • Great instincts and sideline-to-sideline speed
    • Played with patience and physicality
    • Excelled in 1v1s vs RBs
    • Strong in pass coverage and run support in the cat and mouse drills

      Recruitment: Holds 18 offers including TCU, SMU, Arizona State, Kansas, Houston, Baylor, Texas A&M, and UCLA.

     

    Austin Baird – DB MVP (Katy Jordan, Class of 2025)

    Baird made his presence felt early and often.

    • Smooth footwork and disciplined technique
    • Excelled in man coverage, rarely gave up separation

    Didn’t bite on fakes, stayed in phase

    Junior Year: All-District 19-6A selection with 35 tackles and an interception.
