The Oklahoma Metro Youth Football Championships took over Mustang this past weekend, showcasing the next generation of Sooner State stars.
From 6U to 11U, the state’s top youth teams battled through the playoffs to earn their shot at a championship.
These young athletes displayed skill, toughness, and football savvy well beyond their years. Here are a few names you’ll be hearing under the Friday night lights in the OKC area in the future.
11U Division
Ke’Braycion McGee – OTF Thunder
Two-way standout who set the tone early by taking the opening kickoff deep into opponent territory.
A speed and power runner, McGee scored twice and made impact plays at linebacker with tackles for loss.
A sure tackler who plays behind his pads. He is a name that will be known across OKC in the coming years.
Zecharian Leverett – OUE Sooners
A big-bodied receiver with an impressive catch radius.
Leverett went up over defenders for multiple highlight grabs, showing strong hands and physicality as a target.
Taylen Lyseight – OUE Sooners
A quick, shifty athlete with reliable hands.
Lyseight showed good burst as a runner and receiver while contributing on defense as a steady presence in the secondary.
Javar Jenkins – OUE Sooners
The Sooners’ workhorse on the ground.
Jenkins displayed patience and vision, running with power and balance while consistently breaking into the secondary.
10U Division
Victor Perry Jr. – PC Bucs
Perry Jr. was electric at quarterback, throwing for over 200 yards with precision.
A natural passer with a live arm and clean mechanics, he was especially impressive throwing on the move to his left despite being right-handed.
Has all the tools to become one of Oklahoma’s elite future signal-callers.
Zamier Pennon – PCO Bucs
A dynamic playmaker who hauled in multiple touchdowns.
Quick, elusive, and dangerous in open space, Pennon’s speed and reliable hands make him a major threat in the passing game.
Jayden Morgan – PCO Bucs
Dominated in the trenches with a strong push and disruptive quickness.
Penetrated the backfield consistently and showed agility for his size.
A problem for opposing linemen.
Desmond “Debo” Cotton – PCO Bucs
Lives up to his nickname. He plays with power and attitude on both sides of the ball.
Explosive off the snap, strong at the point of attack, and physical as an offensive lineman.
One of the top two-way performers of the weekend.
9U Division
Dior “Tuff” Franks – Impact Gorillas
Versatile playmaker with speed, wiggle, and confidence.
Dangerous in space on offense and a sure tackler on defense. Franks lived up to his nickname all game long.
Bennie Simmons – Impact Gorillas
Impact player on both sides of the ball, a physical tackler who takes smart angles to the ball carrier on defense, and he is a reliable offensive threat when he touches the ball.
Xavier Northern – Impact Gorillas
The “X-Factor” from the jump.
Delivered tone-setting hits, played sideline-to-sideline, and showed natural defensive instincts.
Physical and tough, a plug-and-play type player.
Neko Wilson – Impact Gorillas
Steady leader at QB and safety.
Made plays with his legs and was physical in run support.
Tough competitor who shows balance and awareness.
Makhi Tyner – Impact Gorillas
Quick and elusive runner with great burst.
On defense, Tyner showed strong tackling form and chase-down ability.
Tristan Martinez – OKC Raiders
Space-eater on the interior.
Anchored the line with strength and relentless effort, clogging gaps and playing through the whistle.
Jayden Nelson – OKC Raiders
Dual-threat on both sides of the ball, showed toughness running through contact and quickness in the open field, along with strong tackling on defense.
8U Division
KeAngelo Cutliff – OUE Sooners
Explosive runner with balance and shiftiness.
Quick in space and physical on defense, Cutliff stood out as a two-way contributor.
Ei’ven “HurriKane” Bluitt – OUE Sooners
Nickname fits, a whirlwind on the field.
Fast, shifty, and tough to bring down, Bluitt also made big tackles defensively.
Sebastian Medrano – OUE Sooners
Downhill runner who wastes no time getting north and south.
Runs with power and excellent pad level, moving piles.
7U Division
Xavier Duarte – OUE Sooners
Set the tone in the trenches on both sides of the ball.
Penetrated on defense and created movement up front on offense.
Physical and disciplined.
Jaxon Carter – OUE Sooners
Athletic QB with the ability to create.
Made plays with his legs and showed good vision and wiggle in the open field.
Hunter Duplissis OKC Raiders
Controlled the line offensively with strong blocks and consistent effort.
Physical presence in the trenches.
Issac Nolan II – OKC Raiders
Stout defender who clogged lanes and made plays behind the line of scrimmage.
Tough and reliable interior force.
6U Division
Ezra Crow – DC Antlers
Speedy back who ripped off multiple big runs, showing good vision and burst through the hole.
Tyson Carter – El Reno Indians
Defensive standout who made several clutch tackles, including two that prevented scores.
Jaylen Harrison – PCO Raiders
Power runner with a lethal stiff arm and great balance.
Breaks tackles with ease and runs through contact.
Jae Edwards – Sabercats
Big, fast, and physical runner who plays behind his pads.
Contributed key defensive stops and showed two-way toughness.
