    Playmakers and Standouts: 18U Day One DR7 Chicagoland

    Day one of the Road to the Crown Chicagoland tournament featured a number of playmakers and difference-makers. Several prospects are already on college radars, while others are positioning themselves to gain traction heading into the fall. These athletes delivered strong performances and made their presence felt throughout the day.

    Aiden Evans

    Class of 2028 | WR | Mount Carmel HS

    Evans showcased great hands and consistently played through contact. He displayed excellent footwork and ran clean, polished routes. At 6-foot-3, 180 pounds, he proved to be a reliable target and found the end zone multiple times on day one.

    Brayson Hurley

    Class of 2027 | WR | Penn HS

    Hurley, standing at 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, is a physically imposing receiver with excellent hands. He moves well in space, plays through contact, and uses his frame effectively to shield defenders. A reliable target with a stout build, he already holds offers from Miami (OH), Illinois State, Austin Peay, Eastern Michigan, Ohio University, and Northern Illinois.

    Amari Brown

    Brown displayed strong instincts and fluid footwork in the secondary. He consistently broke on the ball in flight, recording multiple pass breakups and an interception while representing Midwest Boom.

    Logan Natyshok

    Class of 2027 | ATH | Coal City HS

    Natyshok showed a compact, powerful build with strong defensive instincts. He moved well in space, recording an interception and several pass breakups. A dynamic fall performer, he totaled over 1,900 all-purpose yards, including 23 rushing touchdowns and 600 receiving yards with seven scores. A downhill runner with burst and breakaway speed, he currently holds an offer from Cornell.

    Kavion Young

    Young demonstrated strong ball skills and played with urgency. He attacked the football at the catch point and showed quick feet. His highlight moment came on a crucial interception, where he broke on the ball with excellent closing speed.

    Caleb Brown

    Class of 2027 | WR | Bettendorf HS

    Brown displayed a large catch radius and strong hands while consistently creating separation. A smooth route runner with good speed and body control, he made several big plays for RIP City 7v7. At 6-foot-2, 175 pounds, he brings next-level upside and recently visited Upper Iowa.

    Jameson Gregoire

    Class of 2027 | WR | Central DeWitt HS (IA)

    Gregoire consistently created separation with his speed and route-running ability. At 6-foot-3, 185 pounds, he offers a large catch radius and strong hands, making multiple contested grabs. He was a key playmaker for RIP City 7v7.

    Joshua Shelby

    Class of 2028 | WR | Plainfield North HS (IL)

    Shelby stood out with elite quickness and speed, consistently getting open. He displayed reliable hands and had an excellent overall performance for Supreme 7v7.

    Samuel Wallace

    Class of 2027 | DB | Walled Lake Western HS (MI)

    Wallace possesses a long, lean, athletic frame with an extended reach that allows him to attack the football at it’s highest point. He tracks the ball well in flight and shows natural ball-hawking ability. He recorded an interception on day one and demonstrated strong awareness. Current offers include Miami (OH) and Kent State.

    Brayden Brummel

    Class of 2027 | WR | Yorkville HS (IL)

    Brummel proved to be a dependable target with sure hands and crisp route-running. He gets off the ball quickly and consistently finds ways to get open.

    Khairi Sias

    Class of 2027 | WR | Lockport HS (IL)

    Sias features a long, lean frame at 6-foot-3, 180 pounds and plays with physicality. He attacks the football aggressively at the catch point and shows versatility lining up both in the slot and outside. He worked effectively through the middle of the field in tight coverage and flashed the speed to stretch the field vertically.

    Ray Owens Fomond

    Class of 2027 | WR | Evanston Township HS (IL)

    Fomond showcased strong hands, elite quickness, and the ability to work all levels of the field. He made multiple contested catches and added a touchdown in crunch time for Jungle Boyz 7v7. He is a player to watch heading into Crown Sunday.

    Cash Reese

    Class of 2027 | OLB | DePaul College Prep HS (IL)

    Reese displayed strong instincts and fluid movement in space. He showed agility, good hip flexibility, and solid coverage ability, highlighted by an interception. On film, he lines up as an edge rusher/outside linebacker with an explosive get-off, closing speed, and he is a reliable tackler who delivers a thud at impact. At 6-foot-3, 220 pounds, he has a frame that college programs covet.

    Treyveon Young

    Class of 2029 | ATH | Michigan City HS (IN)

    One of the younger standouts, Young flashed speed and playmaking ability on both sides of the ball. Offensively, he stretched the field at receiver, while defensively he made multiple interceptions and pass breakups at safety. His ball skills and athleticism make him a rising prospect to monitor heading into Crown Sunday.
