    Road To The Crown Plano: 15U Star Watch

    This week the Road To The Crown makes a stop in Plano, Tx. The 15U division has a wealth of talent with teams and players representing states such as Kansas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, as well as Texas. Here are several players who set the tone during pool play.

     

    Parker Edwards | Quarterback | Class of 2025 | 5’10 180 | 7v7: Sooner 7 |Stillwater High School (OK)

    Edwards has a big arm, with arm the strength to drive the football into tight windows, he can make accurate throws on the short to intermediate routes and his quick release enabled him to get rid of the football to his receivers on time. Edwards is coming off of a state championship at Stillwater High School in 2022 and during pool play he brought his “A” game.

     

    Dasaahn Brame | Tight End | Class of 2025 | 6’6 230 | 7v7:  Sooner 7 | Derby High School (Kansas)

    Brame has a long, athletic frame, with an extended catch radius and he his ability to control his body in heavy traffic, allows him to win on the contested grabs consistently. Dasaahn is explosive off of the line of scrimmage, he uses his length to keep defenders at arms length in press coverage and he runs crisps routes to get open routinely. At 6’6 230, Brame is a mismatch for defenses and look for him to continue to be weapon for Sooner 7 heading into “Crown Sunday”.

     

    Trey McGlothlin | Wide Receiver | Class of 2026 | 6’2 186 | 7v7: Sooner 7 | Bixby High School (OK)

    Trey has a lean, athletic frame, his ability to win at the point of attack allows him to get open early and he gets in and out of his breaks quickly, which enables him to get open consistently. McGlothlin uses his extended reach and strong hands to make the contested grabs in traffic routinely. During pool play, Trey was a key cog on a Sooner 7 offense that put up 96 points. Look for Trey to continue to get more targets during bracket play on Sunday.

     

    Darius Washington | Wide Receiver | Class of 2025 | 5’5 135 | 7v7: Jackboyz | Alexandria High School (Louisiana)

    Washington is phonebooth quick, he wins consistently off the line of scrimmage and he has the speed to work the middle of the field, which puts stress on the defense. Darius runs crisp routes and gets in and out of breaks quickly, which enabled him to be a reliable target for his quarterback. Look for Washington to continue to get targets on Sunday during bracket play.

     

    Jakoby Dixon | Running Back | Class of 2027 | 5’9 183 | 7v7: Team Texas Fury | Burton Junior High 

    Dixon has elite burst, he is shifty in space, he has oily hips and his ability to torque his body to get free at the line a scrimmage allowed him to win consistently. Dixon has a stout frame with broad shoulders and a thick lower half. Jakoby has the athleticism to hop on the defensive side and line up a defensive back and cover receivers with glove like coverage. Dixon is an FBU All-American, who will be a household name on Friday nights in the near future. Look for Dixon to continue to light up the competition during bracket play on “Crown Sunday”.

     

    Noah Spinks | Quarterback | Class of 2027 | 5’11 165 | 7v7: 940 Elite | Flower Mound High School

    Spinks is patient in the pocket, he has a solid base when he sets up and he gets his shoulders square when he drives the football to his targets. Noah heated up in the final game of three on Saturday during pool play, leading 940 Elite to 37 points to close out the day. As 940 Elite heads into bracket play on Sunday, look for Spinks to be a key cog in their attack.
