Rowe is one of most explosive and versatile players in the Class of 2027 in the state of Texas. The 6’5 220 pound soon to be freshman, picked up his first college offer from Texas A&M. Zane has off the charts athleticism, he has a long, lean frame with extended length and he has elite body control that enables him to be a menace no matter what side of the football he lines up on. Rowe is a top prospect as a tight end, due to his ability to use his frame, along with his speed to stretch the field and make catches consistently in traffic. He has superb burst off of the line of scrimmage and his route running, allows him to get open early consistently. At the DR7 Road To The Crown Plano 7v7 Tournament, Rowe was a key cog on the offensive side of the ball for 940 Elite, making several big catches in the championship game to help punch their ticket to compete for The Crown in Round Rock. Rowe has extra large mitts that engulf the football and he is a sure handed receiver who is a quarterback’s best friend. Zane’s large catch radius enables him to “Moss” defenders who attempt to jump with him on the 50/50 contested grabs.
Defensively, Rowe plays with a mean streak, his explosive get off puts offensive linemen on skates early, he uses his arm length, along with his powerful punch to stun his opponents. Zane is a twitchy athlete with an array of moves in his tool box. Most players in his class aren’t prepared to match his brute strength, off the ball quickness and his ability to bend and run the arch with the speed and the agility of a player beyond his years. Zane has the traits that elite edge rushers possess. His ceiling is through the roof and the Aggies made their offer early on the recruiting trail to develop an early relationship with an athlete who will be a national recruit within the next four years. Zane has earned national recognition, as an Under Armour Middle School All-American and was a top performer at the most recent UC Report/ Under Armour Up Next Camp. A multi-sport star, Rowe is equally dangerous on the basketball court and on the baseball diamond he plays first base, as well as throws some heat as a right hand pitcher. Look for Rowe’s stock to continue to climb.
