Road to the Crown — DR7 Davenport Notable Day One QB Standouts

    Written by: Drew Johnson (@RealNews102)

The DR7 Road to the Crown was on the move this weekend with another successful turnout in Davenport, FL as over 100+ teams participated on Day One. The seven-on-seven circuit allows athletes to showcase their skillsets and upside while scouts analyze tendencies and potential. There’s hardly any chance to get eyes on every kid in such a wide-pooled group of talent but this list will include some of the notable QB standouts that shined throughout the weekend. The Platform’s goal will always be to Expose the Unexposed!

    Noah Grubbs | QB | 2026 | Lake Mary | @NoahGrubbsQB

One of the top 2026 QBs in the country made his appearance this weekend at DR7 Davenport. The 6-4, 205-pound national riser is a versatile Pro-Style QB who showed off his accuracy and footwork in both games I watched. His natural arm strength and developed QB mechanics will separate Grubbs from the pack. Let’s see how he performs on championship Sunday.

    Michael Clayton | 2026 | Seminole | @MikeClaytonQB1

Another weekend for Clayton who has shown his potential to rise towards the top in a stacked 2026 QB class. This kid has the frame, mindset, and natural talent to continue developing into a national prospect. Solid Day One for Clayton playing with Sanford Elite who are building chemistry in the offseason that’ll pay off in the fall.

    William Jackson | QB | 2027 | Lake Minneola | @WillJacksonQB3

It’s one thing to watch film when evaluating athletes but nothing matches getting eyes on a kid in person. Short and sweet: Jackson is the Real Deal folks. He’s every bit of 6-4 with good footwork and decision-making at a young age. Williams is already built with a college-ready frame with plenty of time to work on his overall upside and other intangibles. Look out for this kid’s recruitment to blow up real soon.

    Cayden Thomas | QB | Class of 2026 | Mitchell | @CaydenThomas_

One of the top sleeper 2026 QBs in the area had a productive season and stamped himself as a reliable leader who can help produce for a program. I’ve watched him compete in two tournaments now against various defenses and this kid never looks fazed. Cool, and calm, but gets vocal when needed. He’s continued to be a good decision-maker while displaying good accuracy and arm strength.

    Salomon Georges Jr | QB | Class of 2025 | Leesburg | @SalomonJR17

Georges finished Day One as one of the top standouts after finishing 3-0 in pool play while throwing serious dimes. This kid gets it done in the regular season and is now picking apart defenses on the 7v7 circuit. He can move an offense down the field with his deadly scrambling ability or accurate deep ball shots. Let’s see how he performs on championship Sunday.

    EJ Archield Jr | QB | Class of 2025 | Robinson | @EJArchield

Archield continues to develop and impress. It’s been nice to see him spin it and show off why the buzz around his recruitment is legit. He dominates the 7v7 and camp-like sessions because of his impressive frame combined with good footwork mechanics, arm strength, and ball placement. Archield picked up a big-time offer from Ole Miss in the spring and will look to continue creating buzz around his recruitment heading into the off-season. Still, plenty of time to develop and add to his quarterback bag.

    Chance Houston | QB | 2027 | Land o Lakes | @cc11houston

Another tournament, more accurate throws, and undefeated days for this kid who has shown he is one of the top 2027 QBs. Really impressed with Houston’s timing and decision-making in this 7v7 setting where he goes through his reads well and doesn’t get flustered. Know the name because he’ll continue to rise.

    Carter Emanuel | QB | 2026 | Edgewater | @CarterEmanuel1

This kid continues to develop at the QB position and college coaches are catching on. He’s made the move over to Edgewater this season and is set for a productive off-season period. Emanuel had a decent Day One but it’s the overall upside that landed his name on the list. Once he tweaks a couple of things, he will be even more of a problem for opposing defenses.

    Best of the Rest: Ballers

    Grant Conner | QB | 2025 | Winter Park | @grant_conner3

    Chase Cromartie | QB | 2025 | Viera | @CromartieChase

    Blaine Walker | QB | 2025 | South Sumter | @Qb1_11

    Breylon Sanchez | QB | 2026 | Lyman | @BreylonSanchez

    Dylan Nahra | QB | 2025 | Countryside | @DylanNahra

    Jaydis Wiley | QB | 2026 | Specially Fit Academy | @Jaydis_18

    Jaylen White | ATH | 2026 | Clearwater | @Jaylen_white12

    Chris Denson | QB | 2025 | Plant City | @chrisdenson03
