Kyng Golston put on a dominant display at DR7 OKC, proving why he’s one of the top prospects in Oklahoma’s 2027 class. At 6-foot-2, 245 pounds, he made an impact on both sides of the ball, showcasing his versatility as a pass-catcher and a disruptive force at linebacker patrolling the middle of the field. Lining up outside and in the slot/tight end spot, Golston’s strong hands, elite quickness, and ability to high-point the football made him nearly unguardable. His 80-inch wingspan and physical play in traffic set him apart as a matchup nightmare. His ability to be a reliable target for C4 offensively was key in helping them capture the 15U Championship in Oklahoma City.
Defensively, Golston was just as impressive. Lining up linebacker, he displayed great hips, fluid movement in space, and the ability to get his hands on passes in the passing lanes. His sophomore film in the fall showed his explosive get-off, violent hands, and relentless effort that makes him a disruptive presence at the point of attack. Golston’s ability to play all four defensive line positions and his closing speed to the ball carrier only add to his value as a rising recruit.
Already holding double-digit offers, Golston recently added a Notre Dame offer to a list that includes Auburn, Boston College, Arkansas, Miami, and UTSA, among others. His performance at DR7 OKC further solidified his status as a premier talent, and his stock continues to soar as one of the fastest-rising recruits in Oklahoma.
