DR7 Recruiting Room: Top Dallas Recruits to Know

    Written by: Drew Johnson (@RealNews102)

    Thomas Cook Jr | DB | 2026 | North Crowley | @Thomascookjr_7

One of the best DBs I’ve seen on the 7v7 circuit. Cook has all the tools—speed, length, instincts, and that DOG mentality. He locked down receivers all weekend earning MVP recognition in Dallas and is poised for a massive senior season.

    Landon Bogany | WR/TE | 2027 | Lewisville | @landon_bogany

Bogany’s development isn’t talked about enough. At 6-3 with solid speed, he’s got an elite catch radius and crisp route running. He made several tough grabs in the end zone this weekend, and his ceiling is sky-high.

    Trenton Yancey | ATH | 2027 | Duncanville | @d1trent_

Yancey is one of the most polished 2027 athletes in Texas. His route running is advanced, his hands are strong, and he consistently makes plays after the catch. He’s smooth in short and intermediate routes but has the speed to take the top off a defense.

    Jaden Johnson | WR | 2026 | Mustang | @JadenJohnson_03

Johnson emerged as one of the most reliable receivers in Dallas. He was a magnet for the football, developing great chemistry with 2026 QB Cruz Campbell for Hustle Inc 405. Expect his name to keep buzzing.

    Kiante Ingram | ATH | 2027 | North Crowley | @kbingram23

Ingram was electric this weekend, earning an MVP invite to the DR7 Crown Invitational Bowl. Playing with Texas Chaos, he was nearly unguardable, helping lead his team to the 18U championship.

    Nate Sims | WR | 2026 | Ottawa | @NateSims1516

Sims dominated pool play, putting on a route-running clinic. His shiftiness and ability to find open zones made him a nightmare for defenders. The three-star Kansas prospect showcased strong hands and elite body control, proving why he’s one of the top WRs in his state.

    DaQuwan Dunn | WR | 2026 | Berkner | @DaQuwanDunn

Dunn continues to prove why he holds offers from Utah, Houston and more. The 6-1, 178-pound two-way playmaker is explosive at the snap and consistently gets open. His ability to make plays on both sides of the ball stood out again this weekend.

    Karece Hoyt | ATH | 2027 | Lone Star | @Karece_Ku2_Hoyt

Hoyt is known for his strong arm at QB, but this weekend he showcased his versatility. He made plays at receiver, proving to be a problem on the boundary with his size and athleticism. A fast-rising 2027 prospect in Texas.

    Jeramie Cooper | TE | 2026 | North Crowley | @Jeramie_D1

At 6-4, Cooper is already a nationally ranked prospect, and his offer list reflects it. His elite hands, sharp footwork, and physicality make him a matchup nightmare. When the ball was in the air, there was little doubt he was coming down with it.

    Traice Collier | ATH | 2027 | Raytown | @TraiceCollier

Traveling from Missouri, Collier wasted no time making an impact. One of the top WR standouts in Dallas, he was tough to contain, drawing multiple defensive holding calls as DBs struggled to slow him down.

    Tano Wooten | ATH | 2028 | Shoemaker | @TanoWooten

A big-bodied, big-play receiver, Wooten made his presence felt with high-point catches and strong hands in traffic. He also showed breakaway speed on deep routes and versatility on both sides of the ball, making him one of the most intriguing 2028 prospects at the event.

    Arieus Finley | RB | 2027 | Derby | @ArieusFinleyJr5

Finley is an explosive runner with fluid hips and a powerful lower half. His acceleration past defenders makes him a lethal weapon in open space. As one of Kansas’ top 2027 RBs, he’s adding size to his frame to prepare for a big junior season.

    Sukora Cooper Jr | WR | 2029 | Life Oak Cliff | @SukoraC

Standing 6-1, 175 pounds, Cooper Jr. is an underclassman phenom. He looked like a cheat code this weekend, flashing elite ball skills and natural playmaking ability. His high school career is going to be one to watch.
