Waxahachie Standout Takes His Talents to the Big Ten
Southern California continues to add firepower to its offense, securing a commitment from 3-star wide receiver Kohen Brown. The 6-foot, 190-pound playmaker out of Waxahachie High School (TX) is ranked No. 87 in Texas and the No. 77 wide receiver in the nation, per Rivals.com.
Brown chose USC over offers from SMU, Baylor, Auburn, Arkansas, Kentucky, Miami, Michigan State, Ole Miss, and Texas Tech, among others.
Breakout Junior Season
A two-year starter at Waxahachie, Brown put together an electric junior campaign:
- 54 receptions, 1,084 yards, 11 touchdowns
- 138 rushing yards, 2 rushing touchdowns
- Played both ways, recording 11 tackles and 2 sacks at cornerback
Explosive Playmaker
Brown is a dynamic weapon with the ability to impact the game in multiple ways.
- Elite quickness and acceleration
- Strong hands and natural ball-tracking ability
- Excels in space, creating yards after the catch
- Deep-threat capability, stretching the field with ease
- Next-level speed, clocking a 10.69 in the 100m this spring
- Tough, physical runner, thriving on jet sweeps and bubble screens
Impact at USC
With his ability to line up in the slot or outside, Brown has the tools to compete for early playing time in USC’s high-powered offense. His blend of speed, hands, and playmaking ability makes him one of Texas’ top wide receivers in the 2026 class.
The Trojans land a big-play threat who has the potential to develop into a key contributor at the next level.
