    The Crown’s Finest pt.1: DR7 National Championship

By: Nick Gradney (National Scout) @StatZ_G

28′ QB Jude Hewitt (@JudeHewitt_QB) is one of the best young gunslingers I’ve seen this year, thus far. From the snap to the follow-through, he makes everything look clean. Hewitt throws a tight spiral with some major velocity on the football. He goes through his progressions pretty well and makes the appropriate read. Get familiar with this kid early.

27′ OLB Messiah Gent (@MessiahGent18) has incredible coverage skills for a linebacker. He moves with fluidity and has the ability to break on the ball underneath. His lateral movement, along with his understanding of formations, makes him a good prospect at the next level.

28′ WR Jack Newkirk (@jacknewkirk02) can play both sides of the football. He has the ball hawking skills to be a good defensive back as well as the talent offensively to play wide receiver. He’s a very good route runner and is sneaky fast. He was impressive at the DR7 National championship – The Crown!

2030 QB Gavin Pritzkau (@GavinPritzkau) is one of the best young quarterbacks I love to watch. He’s growing at a rapid rate every time I see him. I know it’s early, and I’m not saying this to put pressure on him, but I truly believe this kid has the potential to be a top ranked recruit in his class. He has it all – arm strength, exceptional mechanics, good ball placement, reads defenses well, and he’s a quick processor. Not to mention, he’s an incredible young man off the field. There’s much to love about Gavin, and the scary part is that he still has his whole high school career ahead of him.

26′ WR Ian Gebhardt (@ian_geb1) was impressive in DR7 – The Crown this weekend. He’s really good at creating space with his suddenness and understanding of how defenders will guard him. Ian is a polished route runner with good speed and soft hands. He consistently made plays in big moments to help his team. He has the size to take on the punishment as well as deliver it. Get this young man on your radar now. He currently holds an offer from Sacramento State.

25′ ATH Madrid Tucker (@MadridTucker_24) was perhaps the best player in DR7 – The Crown. He will be attending North Carolina in the fall, but he made sure to get one last 7v7 tune-up. This kid has amazing instincts as a two-way player. Offensively, he can switch gears like none other. I watched him take a five yard out the distance. His hands are elite, he’s quick and can make defenders miss. Defensively, he’s great at recognizing plays, and his closing speed is exceptional. He wowed the crowd several times on both sides of the ball. He’ll be a major contributor for Bill Belichick.

25′ WR Camron Marsh (@cantguardcam_) is a certified technician when it comes to running routes. He’s a man amongst boys who who makes it look effortless. Marsh footwork is deceptive, and he’s more than fast enough to run by defensive backs. This young standout has great hand-eye coordination and strong hands to reel in contested catches. His energy on the field is just unmatched. He’ll start at the JUCO level, but it may be a matter of time before he gets in the grasp of a top tier level school.
